Korea Open Lightpath Exchange
1.Introduction
The KRLight is the Asia-pacific lightpath hub that makes Science Data Super-Highway liking between Asia and North America based on Daejeon (in KISTI), South Korea. KRLight is a distributed Tier1 GOLE (GLIF Open Lightpath Exchange) based on Daejeon, Hong Kong, Seattle, Chicago and Amsterdam. It means KRLight provides fast international connection to Korea, China, United States, SURFnet, and so on. KRLight, operated by KISTI, was initiated by GLORIAD project since 2005.
